CiderFeast NYC returned this past October to Industry City during its 2024 East Coast Cider circuit. Attendees were treated to a wonderfully indulgent all-you-can-eat-and-drink cider celebration with vendors sporting pours from over 20 different cideries.
The fall festivities were in full flow with music, smiling faces taking huge bites of sausage and peppers hot from the grill and glorious non-stop ciders to try. Back to back samples were available from notable names such as Angry Orchard, Treasury Cider, Brooklyn Cider House, Barrika Basque, Original Sin, Aval Cider, Bucktail Cider Co., Eden Ciders, and more.
If before you thought hard ciders were a one note, sweet beverage choice, a visit to Ciderfeast NYC will quickly change your mind. The majority of the ciders veered on the dry side, reminiscent of a rustic champagne, and ranged in abv from 4% to double digits. With age maturation times from as little as two months to a full year, dedication in the field is a practice in patience and experimentation. It was clear when having a conversation with any of the vendors how the artisanal world of hard ciders is full of passion and intentional craftsmanship.
Ciders were not the only sampling option available. Other beverages included Brooklyn Gin and Upstate Vodka from Sauvage Distillery as well as some non-alcoholic options of Polar Seltzer and C4 Energy drinks. Attendees also got to try cider donuts from Stone Ridge Orchard, 24-month aged Kentucky ham from Dakota Hams, grilled cheese from Cabot Creamery, selections from Ends Meat, fresh kimchi from Goshen Foods, vegetable grill from Heritage Farms, ice cream from Tipsy Scoop and baked goods from Mum’s Kitchen.
Ciderfeast NYC is just one of the experiences crafted by food event producer Food Karma Projects. Others include Brisket King NYC, Bowl of Zole, Pig Island NYC, and Rib King NYC. Founded by hospitality veteran Jimmy Carbone, it is no wonder that Ciderfeast is truly a good time and an absolute no-brainer to attend.
