Bid Adieu to Oily Scalp with Act+Acre

Act+Acre developed a magic wand to keep oily scalp at bay. The brand’s new 4% Niacinamide Oily Scalp Serum is designed to extend the time between hair washes by controlling oil at the root. It’s the very first of its kind: a preventative treatment for oily scalp. That’s right, your polished salon blowdry could last a few days longer with some help from Act+Acre.

Helen Reavey founded Act+Acre with scalp health in mind. The scalp is a delicate microbiome that needs as much care as our strands. Helen and her team carved a niche in hair care by focusing their research on ingredients that would nourish and support the scalp. A healthy scalp is the key to healthy locks.

I was impressed with Act+Acre’s Fulvic Acid Volumizing Dry Shampoo. This dry shampoo has a short but effective ingredient list that’s devoid of harmful chemicals. It worked wonders for my hair, perking up its freshness and volume. The brand uses plant-based ingredients to deliver the results promised. As someone who is always on the lookout for ways to extend my blowdry, I was excited to see this new scalp serum was added to the line.

The product is quick and easy to apply. After a shower, I applied 3 pipettes of the serum to my scalp, carefully dispersing the product evenly. The product was lightweight and didn’t feel oily or irritating. The combination of niacinamide and hyper-fermented green tea soothed my scalp. These key ingredients help stabilize oil production. With continued use, the product has the potential to better balance oil production in the scalp’s microbiome.

Over the course of the next three days, I noticed my scalp’s oil production had slowed. My hair looked refreshed each morning, and I was able to extend the shelf life of my blowdry. That in and of itself is a victory. For extra volume, I added a few spritzes of Act+Acre’s Fulvic Acid Volumizing Dry Shampoo.

Act+Acre’s products are worth their weight in gold. With quick application, easy-to-follow instructions, and a growing line of products suitable for all hair types, Act+Acre is becoming one of my go-to hair care brands.
