Bravo to this Dining Experience

Whether you fell in love with the first cast of “Real Housewives of New York” or didn’t get hooked until “Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake,” you may have discovered what a ripple effect watching one Bravo series can be. Now, there’s a pop-up where full-blown Bravoholics can congregate to get their fix of reality-show references.

They Made it Nice

The Diamonds & Rosé Experience by Bravo has taken over Selene restaurant located in the Financial District. Named for the party Lisa Vanderpump threw in Season 7 of RHOBH, the themed space is just as pink and sparkly as one might expect! Flowers and feathers in rosy hues adorn the walls while glittery chandeliers and diamond-shaped lights hang overhead. If you’ve been waiting to wear that something special, be it fitted, flowy, or floral, this is the place you can finally debut it!

Spilled red wine
Flipping a table is not “calm and cool like a whistle.”

But, what’s really great about the decor is all the funny elements inspired by different Bravo series. (I even spied the infamous blue bunny that Lisa Rinna gifted Kim Richards.) Fans can get creative with the photo opportunities here. You can throw a table-flipping tantrum a la Teresa Giudice or recreate a fall in the bushes just like Luann de Lesseps.

Omelet with potato wedges and salad
No Cheese-Gate here, just good food.

More than Appetizers

Diamonds & Rosé even has food and bevvies named for Bravo quips. I visited for brunch, so I ordered the September Spring Summer Omelette (a reference to a timeline Shereé Whitfield gave for a clothing item launch). The omelet was delicious, especially with added bacon. Zesty potato wedges and a small salad rounded out the dish. Given the chance, I would have zero post-meal complaints to stir the pot if I were a castmate on any of the series.

The real star of the cocktail menu, perhaps not surprisingly to Bravo devotees, is the Pumptini. It’s a bright, sweet drink comprising muddled raspberries, vodka, orange liqueur, lime, and grapefruit, and it is as photogenic as it is delicious. It’s easy to see why the drink was such a favorite at PUMP!

Have a Taste for Luxury?

Through October 6th, tickets are available for the Diamonds & Rosé Experience by Bravo. (Keep in mind, you have to be 21+ to attend—like most of the Housewives’ dinner parties.)  Tickets start at $35 and include a glass of rosé. Bingo, trivia, brunch, and even a drag show are offered for the more adventurous on various days, and fans will even have a chance to purchase items at the gift shop to bring a little Bravo home.

Amy Hamblen

After spending over a decade in New York, Amy Hamblen is still impressively bad at giving directions around the city. Fortunately, she makes up for it with an abundance of solid happy hour recommendations. Amy is originally from Indiana, and whether or not her years spent covering the food and entertainment scene in NYC has earned her a seat at the table may be debatable, but it's of little consequence — she much prefers a stool at the bar.
