Post-holiday season is about to hit with our body telling us just how bad social events and our own decision making f-d us up. Dry, splotchy skin, acne, dullness – you name it. But as long as we invest in our own aftercare, there is no need to shame ourselves for indulging in our favorite things ( something well earned if you ask me since 2023 was no joke ).
For a very welcome Beauty Best Bet, halal-certified, clean beauty brand Flora and Noor’s radiance mask collection is an absolute savior this season. I tried their #NOFILTER Enzyme Mask and Berry Oxygen Mask to see if any of my holiday season stressors could be skillfully addressed.
Flora and Noor #NOFILTER Enzyme Mask
The #NOFILTER Enzyme Mask is your quick and dirty without the dirty. This mask contains key ingredients Organic Gotu Kola, Tamanu, Reishi Mushroom, and Glycolic Acid that smooth out and brighten your face while reducing the appearance of fine lines, dark marks and blemishes.
The texture of this mask is incredibly soft, akin to soufflé style moisturizers or whipped creme. The smell was rather neutral, no floral or fruity fragrances added. The mask itself was very easy to apply, and after a few minutes, effortless to wash off.
The result? No filter is correct. Smooth, shiny skin. Not quite glass like but extremely close. There was a mild tightness afterwards, but no stinging, no redness, and the skin was visibly brighter.
The Flora & Noor #NOFILTER Enzyme mask was an absolute win for me as this was a very quick, effective mask I could use relatively often.
Flora and Noor Berry Oxygen Mask
I am not going to lie, I was immediately drawn to the Flora & Noor Berry Oxygen Mask because of its inclusion of blueberry. Perhaps this was another way my body was indicating to me I was in dire need of some assistance. The Berry Oxygen Mask contains Blueberry and Cranberry fibers along with key rejuvenating ingredients such as Kaolin Clay, Tamanu, Aloe, Jojoba, Green Tea, and Rosehip seed.
The Berry Oxygen Mask also contains Glycolic Acid, a current beauty favorite for its ability to exfoliate skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. It’s texture is also quite creamy and soft. I could almost mistake it for an expensive moisturizer if I didn’t know any better.
The smell of blueberry combined with its lovely lavandar shade was a delightful experience. The instructions say to leave the mask on for 15 to 30 minutes so I left the mask on for as long as I could before washing it off. It was easy to remove, little to no mess with warm water and a washcloth.
I thought it was just a nice feeling to wash my face afterwards. However, I unexpectedly got stares from my dwelling companions who immediately said they noticed a difference.
“Your face looks visibly brighter and tighter.”
“Like it was pulled up from the sides.”
I immediately ran to a mirror to confirm their comments. It was true. It was like a mini face lift. My entire face was glowing. My smile lines seemed less prevalent. It was like the mask revealed the person underneath it all. And that person was a more youthful, happier, glowing version of the one 30 minutes prior.
I would like to note that my skin showed drastic changes due to the fact that it was just that bad. The clear signs of dehydration were quite literally all over my face – dullness, increase in fine lines, and uneven skin tone to name the clearest culprits. If your skin is doing okay for the most part, you won’t necessarily see everything magically tighten. It’s kind of like if you have ever seen a plant that hasn’t been watered in awhile finally get water and its leaves prop up, bouncing with life. Yeah, that was my skin.
Regardless, I loved the effect of both of these masks and feel they are the perfect accompaniment for some quick assistance. Flora & Noor’s Berry Oxygen Mask and #NOFILTER Enzyme mask has been a refreshing addition to my weekly skincare routine this past month. I loved the smell of the Berry Oxygen Mask and the soufflé, creme texture of both masks.
The only change I would make is to add the directions and ingredients information onto the mask container itself. I tend to throw out all my product boxes once I open them except this time I had to be careful to save the boxes this time to keep track of how long to leave the masks on. I dislike saving boxes since I keep my skincare masks in the bathroom and water tends to get everywhere, and nothing quite upsets me like wet paper packaging.
The holidays and end of the year can lead to a stressful, “last leg of the race” kind of feeling. But it doesn’t mean your skin has to take the beating. The radiance masks from Flora & Noor make an excellent recovery option to boost your skin in the new year.
