A Fur Real Gamechanger

With winter nipping at our heels, my dog and I decided to try DOG by Dr Lisa’s nourishing winter skincare solutions. Made by Australian veterinarian Dr Lisa Chimes, these two new products help our four-legged friends maintain healthy fur and moisturized skin even in the harshest of conditions.

The Coat Masque is a luxe, intensive moisturizing treatment infused with premium essential oils and nourishing plant extracts. Designed to combat dryness and tangles, it’s made from seabuckthorn oil, seaweed powder, jojoba, and cupuacu butter. It’s plant-based, vegan-friendly, and smells amazing.

My dog loved getting this deep-conditioning fur treatment, especially the part when you massage it in. You can use it after a shampoo or on its own once a week. Wet your dog’s coat thoroughly, then apply the Coat Masque. Let it soak in for about 10 minutes. (Distract your pup with a short training session or a lick mat.) Then rinse it out. The product is so rich and soothing you’ll need to give it a good rinse. You’re supposed to dry with a towel and a gentle hair dryer, but my dog thinks driers are scary. So, I let his fur air dry. He did some zoomies, which I’m sure helped it dry faster. His fur felt silky, soft, and thicker after the Masque. Plus, he enjoyed the attention. My dog has short fur, but this Coat Masque is perfect for long-haired dogs, too.

DOG by Dr Lisa also offers a Soothing Balm that moisturizes and softens dry, cracked paws. This fragrance-free balm is suited for seniors with paws that need some TLC, as well as active puppies who run around town. The organic, nourishing ingredients in this balm include shea butter, coconut oil, and chamomile flower extract. My dog’s paw pads felt softer after just one application.

Made from organic, natural ingredients, DOG products have no nasties and were created to be gentle and effective. Treat your pup to an unconditionally luxurious spa moment with DOG. They’re beyond worth it.
